The Real Ginger, Lemon, and sometimes Honey tea

The Real Ginger, Lemon, and sometimes Honey tea

In case it isn’t obvious by now, I love when things are simple. I especially love when my food is simple to make.

I love to eat healthy and I want my food to taste good but I don’t want to spend my whole day in a kitchen.

Thus I bring to you the one and only real ginger and lemon tea! I realize tea is not a food, but to me it’s still something I take time to prepare and consume. As much as I enjoy simply using prepared tea bags sometimes, I also enjoy trying different tea variations with real ingredients fresh from my kitchen.

Ginger, Lemon, and sometimes Honey tea

You will need:

  • 1 root of ginger
  • 1 lemon
  • Desired water and a means to boil it
  • Honey (optional)

Steps:

1. Boil water 2. Peel skin off ginger, slice ginger to smaller pieces and either a) add to your boiling water for 3-5 minutes or b) add to tea pot and add your boiling water, let sit for 5-7 minutes 3. Slice lemon and add one slice to tea cup 4. Add in ginger water 5 Add honey to sweeten it up if you prefer or if you have a sore throat :)

Enjoy!
